The Grand Banks Classic is the ultimate cruising boat. |
Caroline has all the amenities of home with the option of changing your scenery.
She has a fiberglass hull that has been kept in good condition.
We have added additional comforts and accessibilities to the original design.
The salon and galley storage has custom roll out drawers for storage, a five year old gas range, three gas burners and oven.
This new stove made extra storage below the stove for broiler pans, cookie sheets etc.
An additional pot and pan storage below has a custom roll out drawer.
The toilets have been replaced with a vacuum system and storage tank.
We added new custom upholstery and canvas in the upper helm station.
A complete description is available in a latest survey.
"Caroline" was built in 1980 but an extensive overhaul in 2000 resulted in new folding mast, engine rebuild, new instrumentation etc.
She is loaded with extras including prop cage, dual heater/AC, head lights, pull out galley drawers, fuel polishing system and many other extras.
The following repairs/replacements have been accomplished:
new propane three burner stove and oven 2008
new water heater 2008
new G.P.S 2014
new prop shaft and cutlass bearings and seal 2011
new inverter 2014
new vacu flush -- both johns and holding tank w/elect.
Indicator panel 2010
new fly bridge cushions and overhead 2015
updated spin-on fuel filter manifold 2010
"Caroline" has a full set of insect screens and external sun screens.
Extra props and puller, 3 anchors/chain, davits for tender Avon hard bottom, electric oil drain, canvas covers for all exposed varnish, etc.
This is our last boat.
Everything goes except two pictures on bulkheads.
Even the tools.
Linens etc. are in excellent shape.
Fuel tank good, decks worn but fine.
The only thing this boat lacks is a bow thruster, which I do not find necessary.
Our last boat was a Hinckley B40 and if you can dock this boat you can dock any boat.
An excellent set of kitchen utensils, flat ware, everything you would need in a galley.
Fuel burns a bit over 2 gallons/hour @1800 RPM at about 6 knots.
Roughly 5000 hrs. on the engine -- much less on the Gen Set.
Has always been stored inside during the winter months.
