Rare Motoryacht, Anchor Bilge Pump Bimini Top Carpet Coast Guard Pack Compass Dockside Power Documented Generator Head Professionally Maintained Stored Indoors This Matthews is a One Design antique flush-deck type motor yacht with dual cabins.

It was custom built in 1903 as a custom day cruiser for James Packard, the motor car manufacturer.

This was one of the early boats known as a Naptha Launch, and was used by Mr. Packard on Chautauqua Lake, NY.

It has white oak frames with white cedar planking.

All interior trim is mahogany.

Exterior hardware is brass, original manual anchor hoist is brass.

Brass running lights and spotlight were manufactored prior to 1890 and are now electric, converted from original oil lamps.

It was designated as a U.S.

Postal boat in the 1970's, and was featured on a special stamp.

Harvey Firestone, Henry Ford, and Thomas Edison were close personal friends of Mr. Packard, and are some of the famous people who have all traveled on this boat.
