BOAT DESCRIPTION
This boat has been in our family since new. I have spent over $18,000 on restoration. The new items include: new rubber, chrome and cadmium plating, topside gelcoat and pin-striping, gauge rebuilds, wiring replaced with addition of new marine fuse block, new marine white naugahyde interior and white rubber deck mats, complete engine and outdrive overhaul, addition of extra fuel tank, automatic sump pump, new trailer items include new wiring, and paint on trailer, addition of spare tire on trailer. I have changed the old 65 hp motor out for a Volvo marine AQ140, added a second gas tank, and gas gauges into the dash. The engine has been rebuilt and starts and runs well. Less than 100 hrs since overhaul. The carburetors were not just gone through with kits but sent off for machine work to restore the shafts and throttle valves, so idling is very nice. The distributor has been professionally rebuilt as well and the curve properly set for the engine. The outdrive is a Volvo Penta and has been gone through with new seals and gaskets... the drive pieces were in good shape. I do have in pieces basicly a whole extra outdrive plus several propellers. Also, I have added closed cell foam under the gunnells and deck wherever possible - enough to displace water roughly equal to the boats weight. Also added is a sump pump which operates by a float switch... it's a very nice feature. New rubber trim all around. And a battery cut-off switch is also included. Have maintenance manual and parts manual.

Other extra's are some 'period' ski reels which slip into some fixtures on the back of the boat. These were, I'm guessing, a local or at least regionally localized item. They were made by San Angelo Die Cast in San Angelo, TX. There are two of them, one for each side, and they work quite well. They automatically ( by internal springs ) rewind a ski rope when it is released by a skier and the boat is stopped. If the boat is still in motion, such as to swing back around to pick up a downed skiier, the rope will continue to be 'payed' out and the skiier can retrieve the grips.

The trailer is original except that I added a spare tire. It has been rewired and repainted. The trailer ball is still the old 1- 7/8 in.

After restoration I went to the tax office to get it registered. There was no previous title since back in '58 titles and registrations were not required in Texas for boats. The boat now has a title and both the boat and trailer have current registrations and tags etc.
Reason for selling: 'we are not using the boat like we did when the kids were at home'. The boat has a custom made ( blue ) marine cover and when not used has been kept inside out of the weather.
