I am selling a 2004 "Sea Ray 225 Weekender", along with a 2005 Tidewater 2 axle trailer. The boat is a cuddy, 260 hp, i/o, with a mercruiser engine. It has less than 60 hours on it. The reason I am selling it is that my wife and I simply have not been able to use the boat as much as we anticipated, due to health problems that have developed since we bought the boat new in 2004. We purchased the trailer also new a year later. The boat is very clean and in just about excellent condition. The cover does have a couple of missing snaps, and there is a very slight ding in the rear by the gas cap, caused my me gently brushing against a piling. The dealer told me the best way to fix it was with special epoxy they sold and I could easily do it myself, to save labor costs. Since the boat was purchased brand new, only the dealer, Marine Max has worked on it, and I have all the paperwork showing everything they ever did to the boat. When we purchased it, we also purchased an extended warranty which is still good till April 3rd of 2010. I had the dealer install a Garmin GPS and and extended aerialon the boat. The trailer has only been used to transport it from my home in Manahawkin NJ. to Long Beach Isand, NJ about 5 miles away and its also in excellent condition. Now I am going to list the standard options: ss bow & stern eyes; ss hardware; translucent hatch w/locks & screen; ss navigation lights; ss ski tow eye; an extended swim platform w/ss three step ladder which adds two more feet to the boat from its original 22 ft; tinted curved windshield; bimini top w/boot; snap-in carpet liner; finished fiberglass floor; am/fm single cd stereo; custom sea ray instrumentation which includes backlit w/night lighting, fule, oil pressure, speedometer, tachometer w/hourmeter, trim, voltmeter, and water temperature; power assisted steering; tilt wheel steering; steering wheel w/wood grain accents; power tilt & trim; automatic bilge pump; bilge blower; pressure water system and a transom shower. Now I am going to list the optional equipment: pearl/white/black; 5.OL MPI BR3 MCM (260 PHP); PBB-Port back to back seat; bimini canvas package which includes aft, front, side curtains and a canvas storage bag; dual battery switch w/2nd battery tray; tan dash gel coat; fire suppression system; hydraulic trim tabs and a pump out head. Well, I have been completely honest about the boat and its description. As I said, I have developed health problem, namely heart problems, and as a result we just dont get enough use out of it, or we would not be selling it. If you have any questions at all please dont hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to answer you. Oh, I just realized one thing i forgot to mention. The boat still has the bottom paint on it from last year. We didnt have it redone because as far as i understand it, once the boat is bottom painted it has to go into the water shortly after. Our boat is sitting in our driveway, on the trailer ready for the water anyone to inspect. PS::: AS OF THIS COMING WEEK, ANY PROSPECTIVE BUYER WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO START MY BOAT AS IT WILL BE BE WINTERIZED AND SHRINKWRAPPED THIS WEEK BUT IT WILL BE STILL UP FOR SALE AT THE REDUCED PRICE OF $29,000.00 WHICH INCLUDES THE 2005 TIDEWATER TWO AXLE TRAILER.
